Colt Python is a .357 Magnum, .38 Special and .38 S&W caliber revolver which first introduced in 1955 as Colt's top model revlover. It is a single and double action handgun which have a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull and a tight cylinder lock-up. The mass production of Colt Python was stopped in 1999 because of the less sales and high production cost. The Colt Custom Shop continued making a limited number of Python on special order until 2005, when this limited production was terminated.
