Desert Eagle is a large-framed semi-auto pistol developed in 1980s and manufactured by a Israel Firearm Company but designed by Americans. It was designed based on using .357 Magnum round in a self-loading pistol for sporting and hunting and showed the prototype and got the design patent in 1983, then the design patent was shifted to a Israel Company for further development and mass production in 1985. However, due to the limitation of the import firearm from US law in 1992, Desert Eagle was made in US as import parts from Israel.
