AK47 Assault rifle was first developed in the USSR in 1945, last year of the WWII. The original AK47 was the first assault rifle to be manufactured, after the original German STG44 (Sturmgewehr 44). Even after six decades the model and its variants remain the most widely used and popular assault rifles in the world because of their durability, low production cost, and ease of use. It has been manufactured in many countries and has seen service with armed forces as well as irregular forces worldwide.
AKM is the improved version of AK-47 features stamped receiver, a slant compensator, an improved gas tube, and use of lighter materials to reduce weight and simplify construction.
