Five-seven is a Belgian made semi-automatic pistol chambered the special 5.7x28mm cartridge, was developed in conjunction with the P90 SMG, which also used the same ammunition and introduced in 1990. Five-seven was using Polymer material Slide shell and lower frame, but the slide interior, barrel, trigger, springs, pins, and similar parts are all steel made. However, it weighted only 744g with a full-loaded 20 round magazine, which is a unusually light-weighted.
Five-seven was first targeted to law enforcement and military, the civilian model IOM (Indivdual Officer Model) was launched in 2004, but later replaced by USG (United States Government) after The USG model was appoved by the ATF as a sporting firearm in 2005. Those models are replaced by MK2 in 2013 which already shown in 2013 Shot Show.
