SIG 516 is a semi-automatic rifle intended for both civilian and law enforcement markets, it also has a selective-fired version which only for law enforcement and military. SIG 516 shared the same outlook design of the early M4 / M16 Rifle, which is different from its SG556 Rifle. SIG 516 family total has 6 models with 4 different barrel length as follow.

SIG 516 PDW – Compact Version with a 7 inch barrel.
SIG 516 CQB – CQB Version with a 10.5 inch barrel, similar to M933 / M4 CQBR.
SIG 516 Tactical Patrol – Patrol type Assault Rifle with a 14.5 inch barrel, similar to the normal M4A1 Rifle.
SIG 516 Patrol – Patrol type Assault Rifle with a 16 inch barrel.
SIG 516 Tactical Marksman – Marksman type rifle with a 16 inch barrel, discontinued from 2010.
SIG 516 Precision Marksman – Marksman type rifle with a 18 inch barrel.
